摘要:森林生物量和碳储量是评价森林生态系统生产力的关键指标,也是开展森林资源监测的重要参数。统计模型法、过程模型法是估算森林生物量和碳储量最直接、应用最广泛的2类建模方法。统计模型法将复杂的生态问题转化为可量化的数学关系,主要包括立木生物量模型、林分生物量模型和引入遥感变量的统计模型,这类模型无需描述森林生态系统的生态机理过程,建模参数简单、计算效率高,已经广泛应用于森林资源连续清查等生产实践,但存在数据质量依赖性强、机理解释不足、外推能力弱等局限性。过程模型法主要包含生理生态过程模型和光利用率模型,这类方法强调对森林植被生长过程中光合作用、呼吸作用以及养分循环过程的描述和模拟,可解释性强。文中综述和比较了2类方法在森林生物量和碳储量估算方面取得的研究进展,并总结现有各类应用中存在的局限和不足,最后提出从完善地面实测数据体系、提升统计模型估算精度与拓展性、降低过程模型反演的不确定因素并提升其代表性、加强统计模型和过程模型估算结果的一致性校验4个方面进一步开展森林生物量和碳储量估算研究。
Forest biomass and carbon storage are the key indicators that reflect the productivity of forest ecosystems,and they are also important parameters for forest resource monitoring.Statistical modeling and process modeling are the two main methods for estimating forest biomass and carbon storage.The statistical models,which mainly include single tree biomass model,stand biomass model and statistical model introducing remote sensing variables,transform complex ecological process into quantifiable mathematical relationships.Statistical models have no need to describe the ecological mechanism process of forest ecosystem,and have been widely used in continuous forest inventory and other forestry practices thanks to their advantages of simple parameters and high efficiency.However,the models have limitations such as strong dependence on data quality,insufficient mechanism explanation,and weak extrapolation ability in their utilization.The process models mainly include physiological ecological process model and light utilization model,which emphasize the description and simulation of the process of photosynthesis,respiration and nutrient cycling in the growth of forest vegetation and thus have high interpretive ability.The research progress in the two methods for forest biomass and carbon storage estimation is reviewed and compared,and the limitations in existing applications are summarized.At the end,the suggestions are put forward for further promoting the research on the estimation of forest biomass and carbon storage from the 4 aspects including improvement of ground-based measurement system,increase in statistical modelling accuracy and expansion,uncertainties reduction and improved representation for process modelling retrieval and consistent validation among the modelling results.
