摘要:Fire managers could hardly acquire the intelligent information regarding the state of fire (such as location, active fire line and burn scar etc) by eye due to the increasing fire intensity and interruption of dense smoke when the forest fire outbreak. So, timely and dynamically access information of forest fires is a vital element for controlling forest fire. This paper presents an effective approach to extract fire lines using Landsat images. A series of further image processing steps were applied to the segment images. The final product of our processing chain is vector-based line coverage of the fire line, which can be ready incorporated into GIS database.
