摘要:In order to improve the strength of cork products, the bamboo particles were incorporated as reinforcement for cork/bamboo composite (CBC) by using a hot-press technique. The effect of bamboo particle contents (5, 10, 15 and 20 wt%) on the tensile strength and water resistance were investigated. The results showed that bamboo particles content significantly affected the properties of CBCs. With the increase of bamboo particles contents, the tensile strength increased first before reaching the maximum at bamboo content of 10 wt% and then decreased, while the water uptake continuously increased. The addition of bamboo particles improved the dimensional stability of CBCs. Considering the tensile strength and water resistance of the CBCs, the optimum bamboo particles content was 10 wt%. This CBCs were stronger than other similar cork products with acceptable increased water absorption and dimensional stability, implying that it could find applications in several domains such as the flooring and structural applications.
