摘要：文章试图从分析美国在不同时期的不同国情和林情，以及不同利益群体对森林效用的不同认识和追求所导致的森林经营思想的演变与森林经营法规的相应变化，来了解美国林业发展的内在机制。
Abstract To understand the inhereiit mechanism of US forestry development,the wayis analyzed that how the situation of economy,the status of forest resources, and thephilosophies and demands of different interest groups govern the changing of the ideasand regulations of forest management in the United States. Four stages are identifiedand discussed as the changing of the ideas and regulations of forest management: (l )Logging only , (2) Logging and re/afforestation, (3) Multi-uses while protect envi-ronment , and (4iSustainable management of forest ecologic system.
