摘要:The principle and approach for estimating wood fiber length using Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) were introduced. In this method, the partial least square (PLS) and full cross validation in chemometrics were used to establish the calibration models for predicting the fibers length of slash pine (softwood) and poplar (hardwood). Their model parameters showed that NIR spectroscopic technique can rapidly and accurately predict the fibers length of these two wood species.
