摘要：记述了珍贵观赏蝶种红锯蛱蝶Cethosia biblis和白带锯蛱蝶C.cyane的形态特征、成虫和幼虫的主要习性。在西双版纳国家级自然保护区关坪管理站,红锯蛱蝶实验种群一年发生约8代,以未滞育幼虫和成虫越冬;成虫访花,也以腐烂水果为补充营养,卵聚产;幼虫5龄,具强烈的群集习性。白带锯蛱蝶一年发生约8代,以幼虫和蛹越冬;成虫访花,卵聚产;幼虫5龄,群集生活。两种蛱蝶均以西番莲科Passifloraceae蒴莲属Adenia的三开瓢A.cardio-phylla和滇南蒴莲A.penangiana为幼虫寄主。
The morphological and behavioral characteristics were observed for two precious ornamental butterfly species, Cethosia biblis and C. cyane, whose larvae both used the lianes of the genus Adenia in the family Passifloraceae as their hosts in Xishuangbanna, south of Yunnan Province. While the adults of Cethosia biblis were founded to visit flowers such as those of Lantana camara, and to feed on rotted fruits sometimes also, the adults of C. cyane founded to visit flowers only. Both the adult females of the two species laid their eggs in masses, the larvae had 5 instars and lived gregariously when eating and resting.
