摘要:The rate of decomposition of organic carbon as well as the release and immobilization of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from leaf litter of Populus alba var. pyramidalis, Amorpha fruticosa and theirs mixture were measured using litterbags in situ in different shelterbelts of an arid area in China. The litter mass loss rate differed with the type of leaf litter. The highest mass loss rate was observed in the mixed litter. According to the improved Olson's exponential model, it would require about 4.19, 3.03, and 2.41 years to attain 50% decomposition of Populus alba var. pyramidalis leaf litter, Amorpha fruticosa leaf litter and a mixed litter of the two plants, respectively, or 17.98, 13.69 and 10.79 years for 95% decomposition.
