摘要:Forests have complex vertical structure and spatial mosaic pattern.Forest ecosystem consists of vast vegetation species and these species are always in dynamic succession stages. It is very challenging to characterize the complexity of forest ecosystem.During the past twenty years, the GNSS,IMU and remote sensors got rapid developments. With the aid of GNSS and IMU system, the direct georeference accuracy of airborne remote sensing can achieve at decimeter levels.A waveform LiDAR records vertical information with an interval of 15 cm or so.CCD image senor has frame size over 10K×10K pixels.Hyperspectral sensor records reflectance with several nanometers spectral resolution.A combination of LiDAR and optical remote sensing data provides new means to study complex forest structures from different aspects.
