摘要：按树在亚太地区引种较成功，大面积的人工林营造和零星种植的规模都很可观，其木材和非木材林产品对该地区的发展具有重要作用。但是，亚太地区按树人工林的经营管理水平还不高，经营效益较差。文中就亚太地区按树发展中存在的一系列问题进行了探讨。
Abstract Problems concerned with the development of Eucalyptus plantation in Asianand the pacific region are reviewed. Eucalyptus has been successfully introduced into theregion, with plantation and individual planting in a considerable scale and lots of woodand non-wood products provided. However , the management of Eucalyptus plantation isat a low level and the benefit not so satisfactory. Further studies on tree breedingshould be under way to introduce superior tree species matched to various sites. Aimingto minimize the loss caused by fire, fire protection should be strengthened. Rotationperiod , though assciated with the ultimate wood usage , is mainly decided by the farmersin reference to the best income. As forestry policies made by the national governmenthave close connection with the success of the planting of Eucalyptus, the governmentalsupports, political incentives for the participation of the local people and communities ,encouragement for Joint afforestation projects with foreign departments and assurementof perfect marketability are necessary in the region. Eucalptus plantation under reasonable management could meet the requirement of sustainable production and fertilityof forest land. In China , Eucalyptus has been developed at a certain degree , and the treebreeding and plantation supervision should be the key points to improve the current levelof management benifit.
