摘要：当今，采取林业可持续发展战略已是世界各国的共同趋势。本文着重就森林可持续发展研究的沿革、定义、标准和实施框架等问题进行了综合述评，并简要地介绍了几种有代表性的森林可持续经营理论的观点。
Abstract It is a general trend in all countries to adopt a strategy of sustainable developmentof forests. This paper reviews the history of research on the sustainable devefopment offorests, illustrates the definitions of sustainabie development given by international organiza-tions such as FAO, MAB, discusses the relationship between the sustainable development offorests, the sustainable development of forestry and the sustainable nlanagement of forests.expoundes the contents which should be induded in the criteria and indices of sustainable de-velopment. The Ministry of Forestry, PRC, cormipiled Forestry Action Plan for the Agenda21 of China, based on the global Agenda 21, and taking into consideration the status of thecountry and its forests. The action plan composed of three parts: the challenges and opportu-nities Chinese forestry confronted with, the strategic ideas and goals of sustainable develop-ment; the priority areas of developnient of Chincse forestry; the conditions for the implemen-tation of the action plan.
