摘要:为实现废粉状活性炭的再生和高值利用,以废粉状活性炭为原料,凹凸棒土为黏结剂,经成型后进行了热再生处理。考察了材料物性、成型条件、再生条件等对活性炭性能和孔结构的影响,并通过同步热分析仪(TG-DSC)研究了成型活性炭对正丁烷的最大吸附量和吸附热。试验结果表明:凹凸棒土是较好的成型黏结剂和耐热材料,其较好的热稳定性是成型活性炭具有较高得率、着火点和低吸附放热的原因;热处理可实现废粉状活性炭的再生,凹凸棒土的添加不会堵塞废粉状活性炭的孔结构,也不会影响废粉状活性炭的再生条件。制备成型活性炭的最佳条件为凹凸棒土添加量40%,热处理温度500℃,热处理时间15 min;制备的成型活性炭碘吸附值为580 mg/g,四氯化碳吸附率为43.49%,着火点为358℃,强度为92%,丁烷最大吸附量为59.05 mg/g,丁烷单位质量吸附热和单位吸附量吸附热分别为-37.049 J/g和-0.627 J/mg。本研究实现了废粉状活性炭的成型和再生,制备了一种耐高温、使用安全、性能较好的成型活性炭,拓展了废粉状活性炭的高值化利用途径。
Powdered activated carbon is widely used for decolorization.Once this type of activated carbon becomes ineffective,it is typically disposed as solid waste,which not only increases the environmental protection costs for enterprises,but also wastes resources.Therefore,regenerating and reusing spent powdered activated carbon for decolorization is of important research significance.In order to achieve the regeneration and high-value utilization of spent powdered activated carbon,this study used attapulgite as a binder to bond and shape spent powdered activated carbon,followed by thermal regeneration.The effects of material properties,forming conditions,regeneration conditions and other factors on the performance and pore structure of activated carbon were investigated.The maximum adsorption capacity and adsorption heat of formed activated carbon on n-butane were studied by the synchronous thermal analyzer(TG-DSC).The results showed that the attapulgite was a good molding adhesive and flame retardant.Its good thermal stability was the cause of formed activated carbon with high yield,ignition point and low adsorption heat release.Heat treatment can regenerate spent powdered activated carbon.The thermal weight loss process of spent powdered activated carbon involved the pyrolysis of organic adsorbates and the decomposition of inorganic CaCO_(3).The optimal thermal regeneration temperature was 500℃and the thermal regeneration time was 15 min.The optimal thermal regeneration temperature of formed activated carbon was consistent with that of spent powdered activated carbon,indicating that the addition of attapulgite neither alter the release conditions of adsorbed substances in spent powdered activated carbon,nor did it block its pores.This was further supported by the linear correlation between the addition ratio of attapulgite and both the iodine adsorption value and the total pore volume of activated carbon.The optimal conditions for preparing formed activated carbon were the attapulgite addition of 40%,heat treatment time of 500℃,and heat treatment time of 15 min.The iodine adsorption value of the prepared formed activated carbon was 580 mg/g,the adsorption rate of carbon tetrachloride was 43.49%,the ignition point was 358℃,the strength was 92%,the maximum adsorption capacity of butane was 59.05 mg/g,the heat of adsorption per unit mass and per unit adsorption capacity for n-butane were-37.049 J/g and-0.627 J/mg,respectively.This study successfully achieved the formation and regeneration of spent powdered activated carbon,resulting in the preparation of high-performance formed activated carbon that is high-temperature resistant and safe to use,thereby expanding the high-value utilization of spent powdered activated carbon.
