摘要:The application of computer technology with its development in three-dimensional visual simulation of trees' morphological structure has attracted more and more attentions. In this study, we first established the crown shape curve using power function with independent variables of tree's height, height under branch, crown width and crown height and a growth model to control the crown shape at different stages. We then, designed an Iterative Function System (IFS) control module to adjust the crown shape and obtained the crown shapes of common tree species. In the IFS fractal, we replaced the invariant parameter Sn with a variant Sn, which is controlled by the growth curve and crown shape curve. Therefore, the simulation results are more reasonable then the traditional IFS method. At last, we applied the method to stimulate the morphological structure of common tree species and confirmed its feasibility. Copyright ? 2013 Binary Information Press.
